Clos Rodolphe

Guesthouses. Bed & Breakfast

An exceptional stopover

The Clos Rodolphe, located within la Maison Bouyssonie, beautiful historic house of the 18th and 19th century, built in the heart of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, just a stone’s throw from the abbey of Saint-Pierre and its unrivalled Romanesque portal, will welcome you warmly in two large rooms and a suite, located on the first floor of the house. Each space has its own universe, made of furniture and antique art objects.

A large living room with fireplace, a large dining room and an old kitchen with “cantou” (local fireplace) will be open to you, as well as the library on the second floor. A terrace and a closed garden will invite you to relax and allow you, in the summer, to have lunch outdoors. The Clos Rodolphe is an exceptional stop, precious, source of serenity and well-being.

Rooms

For your comfort, the rooms wait for you to cross the threshold. Each space has been designed to offer you a quality stay: high-end bedding, spacious and functional bathrooms, furniture and antique art objects.

Guest house

Thierry and Philippe will receive you and offer you hearty and delicious breakfasts (cakes and jams “homemade”), and sometimes evening meals, to make you discover products exclusively from the terroir, through a generous and refined cuisine.

The guest table is open one evening a week, on request at least 48 hours in advance, and closed in high season. We use exclusively local, organic or reasoned agriculture products.

Activities

We therefore welcome aesthetes who enjoy art and architecture (the Limousin and the Lot are full of remarkable sites), hikers (many walking trails nearby), lovers of leisure and sports (walks told in gabare, Strawberry festival, country markets, fly fishing, canoeing, hang glasses, climbing, golf, skatepark for teenagers and playground for the little ones, etc…) and bikers and cyclists (free garage). All shops, services and leisure facilities on site.

Beaulieu

Beaulieu is located south of the valley la Dordogne and enjoys as such a mild climate. It’s even called the Riviera limousine. The valley la Dordogne is listed by Unesco in the global network of Biosphere Reserves.
Beaulieu’s architectural heritage is very rich: the Penitents’ Chapel, the Medieval City, St. Peter’s Abbey, the Renaissance House, the 18th century mansions.

You will visit everything on foot, by bike (2 bikes are made available free of charge to our guests) and even by gabare.
Nearby, the valley of la Dordogne, the sites of Brive, Tulle, Rocamadour, Collonges-la-Rouge, Curemonte, Turenne, La Chapelle-aux-Saints, Montal Castle, Castelnau Castle, Aubazine Abbey, Padirac Chast, etc.
Un peu plus loin, Sarlat, Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Figeac, Souillac, Martel, les barrages sur la Dordogne, etc…
